As part of our commitment to social value at npower Business Solutions (nBS), our employees are encouraged to give back to their local communities through regular volunteer work.
On Tuesday 1 April 2025, a group of volunteers from across our industrial and commercial (I&C) division travelled to Coventry Cathedral to help with cleaning and garden maintenance.
The volunteers enjoyed a tour around the Blitz museum, the Tower, the Ruins and the New Cathedral, before getting to work with cleaning the buildings and helping to tidy up the rose garden by weeding and trimming hedges.
Coventry Cathedral is an incredible site that has been shaped by history. Over the last 1,000 years, there have been three cathedrals, and visitors are able to walk through the Ruins - the remains of the original cathedral of St Michael which was bombed in the Second World War - to the New Cathedral, with many interesting sights to take in along the way.
Due to the size and age of the buildings, interiors and grounds, volunteers at Coventry Cathedral are always welcome, and play a vital role in the cathedral’s day-to-day upkeep.
