Helping a Leeds primary school embrace outdoor learning

Deighton Gates Primary School needed an all-weather outdoor learning centre to support their children. A £5,750 nBS Foundation grant made open-air learning and community events possible.

A vibrant place of learning for 210 children, the Wetherby school supports pupils’ wellbeing with outdoor learning. While the school had a large external area, there was little in the way of shelter. To prevent outdoor lessons, after-school clubs and activities from being cancelled due to rain and wind, they needed funding for an all-weather cover.
