Energising Samaritans of Solihull’s mission
West Sussex County Council, in partnership with npower Business Solutions (nBS), has made significant progress in its commitment to clean energy. The West Hampnett solar farm and battery storage park is a prime example of this collaboration, featuring innovative renewable energy and storage solutions.
Launched in 2018 with over 26,000 solar panels, the site generates enough electricity for 5,500 UK homes. The project has navigated challenges with nBS’s expertise, resulting in both energy and financial gains through a flexible Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and optimised battery storage.
The partnership’s success is built on transparency, regular updates, and a shared commitment to improvement, supported by nBS’s Energy Generators Application. This collaboration not only highlights the potential of the West Hampnett site but also sets a benchmark for future renewable energy initiatives.
