Since September 2021, we’ve seen unprecedented volatility in the wholesale energy market, which is having a major impact on businesses - many of whom are already struggling after a pandemic-hit two years.
But how is the current energy situation really affecting business confidence to achieve their net zero targets? Are they sprinting ahead with their investment plans or are they stalling in the face of the big energy squeeze?
This debate - hosted by James Murray, editor of BusinessGreen - will see a panel of experts discuss the key issues impacting business energy users in these uncertain times.
There will also be time to put your questions to our expert panel, which includes:
- Amie Jones, Senior Policy Adviser at the Confederation of British Industry (CBI)
- Arjan Geveke, Director at the Energy Intensive Users Group (EIUG)
- Anthony Ainsworth, COO at npower Business Solutions (nBS)
It will also see the launch of our Business Energy Tracker, a new piece of market insight where businesses across the UK have given their views on the current climate and the impact on confidence, how they are managing risk and whether the government is doing enough to support businesses right now.
