Solihull-based business energy supplier, npower Business Solutions (nBS), marked a landmark weekend as Headline Sponsor of the first-ever Solihull Pride, which took place on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 September 2025 in the town centre.
Organised by Solihull Business Improvement District (Solihull BID), the event welcomed hundreds of people, who gathered to celebrate diversity, inclusion and community spirit.
Employing over 1,000 people in the town, nBS was proud to play a central role throughout the weekend, beginning with a vibrant parade on Saturday morning. More than 30 nBS colleagues proudly took part in the walk, which started in Mell Square and looped through Drury Lane, down the High Street and back along Mill Lane.
Following the parade, Anthony Ainsworth, Chief Operating Officer (COO) at nBS, delivered a speech from the main stage in Mell Square, reflecting on the importance of inclusion and togetherness, saying:
"Inclusion, respect and diversity are not just values we talk about, they’re values we build into how we operate every day. This weekend is about precisely that. Celebrating this community, standing together and creating space for everyone. It is a celebration, yes, but it’s also a statement of what kind of community we want to be: one where everyone belongs."

nBS is part of the wider E.ON Group, and last year, the company was awarded a Silver Pride Champion Seal, in recognition of the efforts of its leadership, employees, networks and diversity experts in creating an environment where LGBTQIA+ colleagues can thrive and feel valued.
Anthony continued: “At nBS, we believe in doing business the right way. That means creating a workplace where people can be themselves and supporting the communities we’re part of.”
